Tombow DIY Project: Lantern
1 years ago 1 comment

Colourful autumn leaves are always a great pattern to use - and the candlelight of this lantern shows them off to their best advantage.

  • Tombow Maxi Power Tape [go to product]
  • Tombow Aqua liquid adhesive [ go to product]
  • Glass
  • Tissue paper in red, brown and orange
  • Tracing paper / white wax paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Twine

Here‘s how:

Step 1

Draw leaf shapes on the tissue paper and cut them out.

Step 2

Coat the leaves with a thin layer of Aqua liquid adhesive and stick to the glass.

Step 3

Cut a strip of tracing paper the same height as the glass and 1 cm wider than its diameter.

Step 4

Place the tracing paper inside the glass and secure with Maxi Power Tape.

Step 5

Wrap a piece of twine around the top of the glass several times, and secure.

Safety notice: do not leave burning candles unattended. For safety, use LED tea lights.
