Tombow DIY Project: Garland of lights

Tombow DIY Project: Garland of lights
10 months ago No comments

When the rain and cold sets in, we get down to making a decorative garland of lights to illuminate our home with a cosy, warm light. Then we‘ve no need to fear autumn!

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Tombow Maxi Power Tape [go to product]
  • Tombow Aqua liquid adhesive Aqua [ go to product]
  • Tombow MONO twin [go to product]
  • Small string of LED lights
  • Patterned paper in bright colours
  • Lantern template in different sizes [download]
  • Scissors

Here‘s how:

Step 1

Cut out the template for the lanterns and draw it on the patterned paper so you have as many lanterns as LED bulbs on the string.

Step 2

Cut out the lanterns, and fold along the edges.

Step 3

Brush the glue flaps of the lanterns with Aqua liquid glue, and stick down.

Step 4

Cut approx. 2 mm off the top of the lanternsso the LED bulbs on the string can just fit through the opening.

Cover the LED bulbs with Maxi Power tape, fit the lanterns over them, and stick down.

Safety note: Always use LED lights for this project as they will not get warm when switched on.
